The seabed and the beautiful Mauritius diving sites are exceptionally rich . Some dive sites worth a visit and you will enjoy the flora and fauna of various species and their habitats. Each diving area has its specificities. Whatever the sites, some species are often seen and are very discreet and sometimes surprising. Fascinated by all these sea creatures you almost forget that you must reach the surface .

Sites suitable for dives and readjustments

Corsair Reef between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Canonniers
Not being a regular scuba diving , personal Trou aux Biches site and Canonnier help you a great start your dive. From 5 to depth of approximately 11 meters will make you come cross a multitude of marine species such as fish and fish flutes trumpets, parrots, butterflies fish, tree climbing, small pufferfish.

Roche Maxime between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Cannoniers
(From 5 to 11 meters depth)

Roche Maxime offers a range of reef fish species such as stones, small moray eels, tétrodons , shells and nudibranchs.

This site is suitable for dives as well as for divers level 1. There will be a guide who will be present along your adaptation or rehabilitation.

Sites accessible from level 1

Aquarium of Grand Bay, between Grand Bay and Pereybere
14 m depth , 30-35 minutes browsing the site Grand Bay Aquarium is a site that is suitable for beginner levels 1 and also ideal for a refresher dive . Having a white sandy bottom it is considered as a perfect site for underwater photography. You will see shoals of juvenile fish, many species of moray eels, lionfish, scorpion fish, stonefish, young octopus but also some varieties of rare fishes.

Whale Rocks, Amphitheatre , between Grand Bay and Pereybere
Whale Rocks site is located between Grand Bay and Pereybere with a depth of 11-26 meters and sailing time is 25-30 minutes. Diving is practicable in times of lethal or when there are less strong currents.

 This thoroughfare is frequented by large fish and access is inaccessible for divers level 1 because the currents are commonly violent and strong.

Water Lily Reef, between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Canonniers
20 meters deep and the navigation time is 20-25 minutes. This site enables a rich diving sensation and you can even observe the different types of coral . The most observed species in this area are the nudibranchs, grouper growing yellowtail , angelfish , butterflies , surgeons, triggerfish, wrasses . A popular dive for underwater photographers.

Holt ‘s Rock between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Cannoniers
16 to 25 m deep and 15-20 minutes of sailing . Diving on the website of The Holt ‘s Rock take you to discover its coral reefs and the wide variety of fish such as parrotfish , angels, butterflies , groupers growing yellow tail triggerfish, clownfish in their anemones, snappers benches , lobsters , scorpion fish , stonefish . They find refuge in the hiding of corals. You will not risk passing next to the Javanese moray eels 2 meters long which will meet you for a cuddle or at least some attention.

Water Lily wrecks and Emilia, between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Canonniers
15 -20 minutes browsing at a depth of 20-25 meters you will probably not miss the two barges Water Lily and Emily. They are not scary to be explored. Whatever the weather conditions the two boats carcasses remain in the sight of all divers. The fish are just as curious divers that your diving day will be very entertaining.

The wreck of the Stella Maru, between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Cannoniers
Stella Maru is a Japanese trawler sank old in 1987 in the bay of Trou aux Biches. Rest on a sandy bottom of more than 25 meters deep, separates this still remains one of the most beautiful attractions of the area. The wreck is inhabited by dangerous species it important not to disturb, it is better to admire the beauty of this wreck from outside and inside. Wildlife around this carcass is exuberant. 3 Anchors, between Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Cannoniers

Turtle Reef House

Coin de Mire – The Tombants
Diving facing south west of the island of sight corner, you can contemplate the cliff diving. The admiration of the huge school of fish parade under your nose. Very mineral diving with pieces of the island fell into the water , but beautiful.

Coin de Mire – Shark Pit
At the foot of the island Rock Pigeon north of Coin de Mire , the shark pit assembles more than 5-40 after the era of shark for supplies. Wreck of the Silver Star , between Grand Bay and Pereybere
The wreck of the Silver Star is a dive site from 34 to 39 meters deep with bottle. The wreck is infested by an army of soft corals and gorgones.Désastreusement Dina cyclone stormed the soft corals . Coral roses is a dive site which has to bottle about 39 meters deep and pink corals are famous because they are distinguished in the world. Northwest of Mauritius pink corals abound dune has lost depth to 40 meters. They are perishable corals that can drill the 2-3 meters of size. Djabeda wreck near the northern islands
